Rain, Shine, and Autumn Magic

The day began at the breathtaking St. Mary’s Church, nestled in the picturesque Gloucestershire village of Thornbury. The rain poured relentlessly as Chris from Diamond Film Weddings and I arrived to set up at the Church. We then drove to Eastwood Park, where the wonderful Anthony and Jamilla were preparing for their big day and the skies shifted. The rain eased, and just as if on cue, the sun broke through, casting a autumn glow over the rest of this magical celebration.

Anticipation and Excitement: The Morning of the Wedding

Love, Laughter, and Heartfelt Tributes

Chris and I made our way back to St. Mary’s Church, grateful that the weather was still sunny. Inside, Chris mic’d up Anthony, and we captured some truly special moments as he waited for Jamilla’s arrival. One of our favorites was Anthony's nervous singing. Let’s just say some of the things picked up on the mic had us in stitches, though perhaps they’re best left unwritten here!

Stepping outside, I awaited the arrival of Jamilla and her bridal party. The ceremony that followed was as emotional as it was beautiful. It began with a moment of silence to remember loved ones no longer with us, as the gentle song of Ed Sheeran’s Supermarket Flowers played in the background.

Sunsets, Sparkles, and a Bouquet Thief at Eastwood Park

The final stop of the day brought us back to Eastwood Park for a stunning wedding reception filled with love and laughter. The picturesque countryside setting provided the perfect romantic backdrop for the celebration. A standout moment was the star appearance of Jamilla’s beautiful horse, Royal, who cheekily decided to sample Jamilla’s bridal bouquet, adding a touch of personal charm to the memorable wedding day.

After canapés, a second round of confetti, and plenty of fun group shots, we stole Anthony and Jamilla away for a quiet moment together amidst the gorgeous grounds to get some couple photos. Maddie, the incredible maid of honor, joined us to work her magic — making sure Jamilla’s dress and veil were picture-perfect. She even hid under Jamilla’s dress at one point, resulting in some hilarious photos (keep an eye out for her cheeky cameo in the pictures below). The laughter we all shared made these moments even more special.

With the weather still on our side, Chris sent his drone up, capturing breathtaking aerial shots that perfectly framed the magic of the day.

As the sit-down meal came to an end, golden hour graced us with its magical presence — and what a breathtaking golden hour it was! The soft, golden hues of the setting sun covered the grounds in a warm, romantic glow, creating the perfect atmosphere for some truly stunning shots.

Glowsticks, Sparklers, and the 21st Night of September: A Party to Remember

What’s a wedding without an epic party to top it all off? The dance floor absolutely came alive, buzzing with energy, laughter, and plenty of glowsticks to light up the night. With incredible tunes setting the perfect vibe, the celebration didn’t skip a beat. Dancing carried on well into the night, leaving everyone with unforgettable memories and sore feet!

And did I mention… it was the 21st night of September! So naturally, September by Earth, Wind & Fire made its iconic appearance. The moment those legendary lyrics - "Do you remember, the 21st night of September" - filled the room, the energy hit a whole new level. That song stayed stuck in my head for days after, and honestly, I didn’t mind one bit!

As the night drew to a close, it ended in the most magical way—with sparklers lighting up the evening sky. Guests lined up, their faces glowing with joy and flickering light, as Anthony and Jamilla made their way through the sparkling tunnel. It was the perfect, glittering finale to an unforgettable day.
